Oktoberfest

On the 28th I went with Beanpole to the Oktoberfest. I told him to pack me a snack, which ended up being a tuna sandwich, Dr. pepper and a bag of candy corn. He really does have the taste of a pregnant woman.
He drove to my house, and then we walked towards 2nd street near the bay, talking about the anime we had watched recently and about visual novel games along the way. When we made it there, there were lots of booths, like at the renaissance fair, but not so renaissancey. I checked out the bounce houses, but I decided that I wanted to see more of the booths. There was food there, and I bought some cotton candy from some children that beanpole knew from school. I decided to share some with him, and we continued on our way. Eventually, we came to a stand which was selling stuff, and there was a giant wooden fork. I knew I had to buy the giant fork, but it also came with a giant spoon. So I bought the set for ten bucks (the lighter wood set which wasn't chipped on the spoon was 20 bucks.) So I walked around with a giant fork and spoon, until I got tired and made beanpole carry the spoon. People kept referring to salad when they saw them, but you can eat more than salad with a fork and spoon, so I don't know what their deal was. So we decided to sit down on the grass and eat, and this lady was playing depressing emo piano music, except for when she played "Bennie and The Jets" which was pretty weird. Beanpole went and bought some chinese food and returned with it to share with me. And then after we ate, we continued walking around, and I found some metal handcuffs, and I had to buy those. We kept walking for a long time, and then we went down and climbed around the muddy bay, and saw plovers and ducks in the water. We climbed on someone's private pier in front of their secluded bay-front house, but then decided to head back. We climbed back up the side of the bay, and found ourselves in a crowded courtyard where there was a live jazz band. We decided to leave, and we ended up back in the booth area. Beanpole then bought us desert at a stand- strawberries and whipped cream on chocolate brownies. We sat down in front of the Bayside Martial arts building on the side walk, behind a booth, and ate. He dropped some brownie, and picked up to eat it, but there was a dog hair on it, so we decided it wasn't a good idea for him to eat it. Then we started walking back to my house. We walked past the eucalyptus woody estuary area near the bay, and I pointed down to the Sweet Spring trails and asked beanpole what was down there. He told me turtles and ducks, and I thought that was cool, and wanted to see some. We walked down there and poked at the water with some bark, and found no turtles, so we rested on a bench near the stream. Eventually, I gave beanpole a hug, and then we were hugging, and then for some dumb reason I gave beanpole kiss and told him I loved him. He was surprised but then happy and continued hugging. I noticed some old people were hiding near the edge of the bridge a little ways back, watching us, so I decided that we should head back. As we made the trail back up, I could hear the jazz music from the other side of the bay wafting through the woods, this time sounding quietly like an ancient flute.
